Shirdi's Festive Season Preparations For Devotees - For More News Visit: 24th December 2010

For this Christmas & New-Year's Eve celebrations, the Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan is expecting around 10 lakh devotees to visit Shirdi for Baba's Darshan. So, the Sansthan is all set to welcome and provide the best facilities to the devotees coming to Shirdi this festive season. Preparations have been started for making around 5 lakh Bundi Ladoos and 10,000 Breakfast packets for the devotees. Daily Meals for around 50,000 people will be prepared using pure Ghee at the Sansthan's Prasadalaya and large Tents have also been erected to accommodate approximately 5,000 people.

Due to the heavy rush of Devotees this festive season, the Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan has decided that:

1) On 31st Dec`10 New Years Eve, Baba's Samadhi Temple will be kept open the full night for the devotees to have Darshan.
2) There will be no VIP Darshan Passes on 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st Dec`2010 and also on 01st and 2nd Jan`2011.

Shirdi has the biggest Prasadalaya in India with 400 workers working there everyday, and considering the expected huge crowd this festive season, the number of workers has been increased to 700 workers. Daily around 50,000 people can have their meals at this Prasadalaya where the Sai Sansthan provides the meals for Rs. 10/- only and Breakfast for Rs.3/- only per person. This Festive season the Breakfast is expected to be provided to almost 10,000 devotees.

Through-out this year many devotees sought Baba's blessings at Shirdi and continue to do so this festive season too. With this huge rush of devotees the business of hotels in Shirdi is at its peak, with an increment of around 10 to 15% this year.

As the hoteliers were prepared to welcome the huge rush of this festive season, many Guest Houses/Lodges have already been fully booked from 14th Dec`10 to 02nd Jan`11. With the "House-Full" sign board hanging outside many a Guest houses. The Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan can accommodate upto 12,000 people. And keeping in view the large numbers of devotees visiting Shirdi, the Sansthan has made arrangements for small Tents for almost another 5000 devotees at different places.
